By Car

From Manhattan:

Queens Midtown Tunnel to Long Island Expressway, East to Cross Island Parkway, South to Exit 26-D.

From Brooklyn:

Belt Parkway, East to Cross Island Parkway, North to Exit 26-D, or Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Long Island Expressway, East to Cross Island Parkway, South to Exit 26-D.

From Queens:

Grand Central Parkway, East to Cross Island Parkway, South to Exit 26-D or Belt Parkway, East to Cross Island Parkway, North to Exit 26-D.

From Staten Island:

Verrazano Bridge to Belt Parkway, East to Cross Island Parkway, North to Exit 26-D.

From Long Island:

Northern State Parkway or Long Island Expressway, West to Cross Island Parkway, South to exit 26-D or Southern State Parkway, West to Cross Island Parkway, North to Exit 26-D.

From New Jersey:

(North): George Washington Bridge to Cross Bronx Expressway, to Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway, South to Exit 26-D.

(South): Any Interstate bridge to Staten Island Expressway to Verrazano Bridge to Belt Parkway, East to Cross Island Parkway, North to Exit 26-D.

From Connecticut and Westchester:

Any route to Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway, South to Exit 26-D.

By Bus

Belmont Stakes travel by bus is straightforward, with three MTA buses offering services to and from Belmont Park.

The NG Long Island Bus runs from Jamaica Bus Terminal on 165th Street and 89th Avenue, with stops along Hillside Avenue, Francis Lewis Boulevard and Hempstead Avenue. The service stops in front of Belmont Park. You can transfer to the bus from the F Train at either 169th Street or 179th Street subway stations.

On race days, the Q110 bus runs to and from the admission booths at the west end of the track at Belmont Park every 20 minutes. Stops are at Parsons Boulevard, Hillside Avenue and Archer Avenue, and various locations eastbound on Jamaica Avenue and Hempstead Avenue in Queens.

The Q2 bus runs from the Jamaica Bus Terminal to 225th Street, adjacent to Belmont Park. You can transfer to the bus from the F Train at 169th Street or 179th Street subway stations.

By Subway

Take the F train to 169th street or 179th street, and then take the N6 or the Q2 bus to Belmont Park. Alternatively, take the E train to Jamaica Center on Parsons Boulevard and then take the Q110 bus to Belmont Park.

By Train

Passengers can board the Long Island Railroad at Penn Station, Woodside or Jamaica. Connections are available from the Jamaica terminal to Brooklyn, Forest Hills and Kew Gardens.
